Wildcat Silver Corporation is focused on drilling and defining the silver-manganese-rich Hardshell project. The 80% owned Hardshell project outlines an inferred resource of 3.8 billion pounds of manganese, 80 million ounces of silver, plus lead, copper, zinc, and gold mineralization.
Located 100km SE of Tucson, Arizona, Wildcat is currently expanding the resource with step out and depth drilling. An economic assessment completed in 2008 showed a project NPV of $450 million using $10.50 Silver, $0.71 Manganese, $2.50 Copper, $1.05 Zinc and no gold or lead. An updated assessment is being completed using today’s metal prices.
Manganese is the world’s 4th most used metal, following iron, aluminum and copper. It is a critical element in steel strengthening and a classified “strategic metal” by the US. The US has no domestic production and imports all of their manganese supply.
