Arlen Hansen, President

Arlen Hansen is the President and founder of kin communications. Arlen is known for identifying new opportunities in companies and turning them into demonstrable results. He is a passionate, high-energy venture capitalist with extensive experience in finance, marketing and communications.   In 2007, Arlen launched kin communications after identifying a need in the Vancouver marketplace for a full service investor relations company. Since then, Arlen and his talented team have been adding shareholder value to their growing client list.In addition to his studies with the Canadian Securities Institute, Arlen graduated from the Sales and Marketing program at BCIT. As kin celebrates its sixth anniversary, Arlen is focused on maintaining the high standards of service and integrity kin has become recognized for, while building and diversifying its client base.

Cristina Bittante, BBA, VP Marketing & Investor Relations

Cristina is driven, strategic, and loves a good challenge.  Although skilled in graphic design, her marketing leadership and finance career began in 2003 at First Associates Investments, where she acquired her Investment Advisor’s designation.  Today, Cristina uses her strategic, market positioning and communication skills, alongside her creative, expressive side to strengthen a company’s marketing materials and brand identity.  Her reliable, meticulous attention to detail and astute understanding of the finance industry help her master all aspects of marketing clients to their retail and institutional base.  Prior to joining kin in 2008, Cristina played a pivotal role in multiple financings and investor relations initiatives in the resource sector.  Equipped with multiple scholarships, Cristina graduated from SFU with a Joint Major in Business Administration and Economics.

Mario Vetro, BA, Investor Relations Representative

Mario Vetro graduated from UBC with a Major in Political Science and Minor in Philosophy.  For the 5 years prior to starting at kin in 2008, he enjoyed a successful career in sales, management and marketing with Cutco Cutlery Canada. While there, Mario excelled becoming the #20 all time company sales leader, #1 Branch Manager, #1 Student Sales Rep, 7 time quarterly Top 10 Sales Performer, and # 1 Sales Manager.

While this Trekkie aspires to be a hockey coach, he remains the Head Waterboy for the local PeeWee hockey division.

Joel Kitsul, Investor Relations Representative

Joel Kitsul is a hard working, motivated, sales orientated individual. Prior to joining kin in 2009, Joel worked as an Investment Advisor’s Assistant at Union Securities. Joel has completed the BCIT exploration and mining course, Canadian Securities Course, Conduct & Practices Handbook, Derivatives Fundamentals Course, and the Commodities as an Investment Course through the Canadian Securities Institute.  He also continues to work towards his Derivative Market Specialist designation.

When Joel is not pounding the phones at kin, he could be found playing rugby, hockey, golf, or enjoying other leisurely activities. Joel loves staying on top of his tarot card readings and collecting WWF paraphernalia.

Michael Del Debbio, Investor Relations Representative

Michael is the newest addition to the kin team.  Prior to joining Kin Communications he worked as a Personal Trainer, but always knew finance was his passion.  Michael studied business at Capilano University and has since completed the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct & Practices Handbook and BCIT Exploration & Mining course.

He is an avid tennis & golf player, and a self-proclaimed Calvin Klein sock model.  Michael swears Plenty Of Fish is an untapped market of potential investors and regularly combs the site for “new leads.”

Amanda Gregory-Jones, BFA, Executive Assistant

Amanda is a recent alumnus of Emily Carr University who obtained a BFA and graduated ready to enter the working world. She looked for something that would allow her to merge her creative and social work experience with the practical skills of a growing company and found that energy at Kin.

Prior to joining Kin, Amanda put herself through school by working in retail as well as spending her summers employed at a private fishing resort off the coast of BC. In her spare time she enjoys strolls with the office guard dog Samson and listening to too much country.
